Songs of Glory for Unsung Hero

Tips and Tricks for Kids Dental Health Care from DenTek

Hmmm... this one or that one? Chose your battles wisely. I chose to take to the battlefield in support of proper dental health care all day everyday, if necessary. Dental bills are just plain rude. The tedious battles to brush, floss, eat properly, drink water and limit the consumption of sweet, sugary goodies is not for the faint of heart, yet I will prevail. As with all things, kids today get an upgrade from the bare basics that I grew up with. I use these brightly colored, convenient and quite ingenious finds as my tricks of the trade in winning the fight against tooth and gum decay.

I was invited by Kid Vuz to a #KidzVuzBTS media event for the purpose of working in partnership with event sponsors on this informative advertorial.
Yes, we are all family and I love them all to pieces, but don't touch my toothbrush with your toothbrush. That just gives me the creeps, sorry. We just started to store our son's toothbrush (and soon all toothbrushes) in a DenTek Toothbrush Cover as a means of eliminating contact with other family member's toothbrushes and as a protective covering from airborne contaminants. The animal-shaped toothbrush cover allows for ventilation and attaches by suction cup to a smooth surface. When it's time to brush his teeth, he can pull the handle of his toothbrush, opening the tummy section of the cover. After he's finished brushing his teeth, we simply push his toothbrush head inside the tummy until it clicks close around the toothbrush. The toothbrush cover is washable with warm, soapy water as necessary.

Hopefully, we are all emphasizing to even our little ones the importance of flossing. It is recommended that as soon as your child has teeth that touch, begin to floss daily to remove food and plaque. Making flossing fun for children, while establishing healthy dental care habits from an early age is certainly quite tricky. DenTek Fun Flossers are great, kid-sized dental scrubbing floss designed with a smaller head, a rounded, easy-to-grip handle, and are available in a tasty, wild fruit flavor. The 10 miles of dental floss in those little plastic boxes are out and floss picks are in. Not even a battle, it's a win-win situation.

And on that note, we can even get in a little flossing on-the-go action with the DenTek Floss Picks and Case. I must admit that I am a huge fan of floss picks and, of course, I have been known to carry a few in my infamous "Mommy Bag". Prior to disovering that there are now convenient, travel cases, a recycled container was my carry case. It's so convenient to toss these travel-ready cases, that hold six floss picks into a lunch bag or purse. I did a little victory dance when I saw these cases. Everyone has there own, refillable case in a color that makes their daily dental hygiene routine a little bit less of a struggle... so far.
