Songs of Glory for Unsung Hero

Let's Make Every Kid a Safe Kid #SafeKidsDay

Have you taken a moment to update your Parent's Instruction Manual recently? If only parenting were just that simple.  Our kids arrive "As-Is" for the most part and there is never an instruction manual included in the deal.  Learning to successfully parent our children comes from utilizing every moment of education at every available opportunity to act in your child's best interest.  Safe Kids Worldwide is gearing up for the Safe Kids Day campaign which serves as a means of raising global awareness and financial support to provide resources to parents and communities that helps to save the lives of children from accidental deaths.

Think about this alarming statistic- every 30 seconds, worldwide, a child will die from an unintentional death.  Countless families lose children that die from preventable injuries and so many more families are faced with children that are critically injured in accidents.  Safe Kids Worldwide provides parents and communities with vital information and resources that can save the lives of children globally.

“Many people are surprised to learn that preventable injuries are the number one killer of kids in the United States,” said Kate Carr, President and CEO of Safe Kids Worldwide. “We don’t want any parent to have to endure the loss of a child. We’re honored to be supported by our celebrity heroes and sponsors, who are so dedicated to helping us reach our goal of preventing injuries and saving lives.”

The fundraising goal for the Safe Kids Day campaign is to raise $1 million to fund support to local, state and national child injury prevention efforts of Safe Kids Worldwide.  The two national Safe Kids Day fundraising events will be held on Saturday, April 5 in Los Angeles and on Saturday, April 12 in New York City, in addition to local events held in more than 100 communities across the country.
