I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for John Hancock. I attended an event and received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
New York City's Grand Central Terminal was the scene for an all out fitness fest when celebrity talent, actor Chris O'Donnell and John Hancock Insurance unveiled an innovative, new initiative toward life insurance that will reward consumers for taking action toward healthier lifestyles. Thanks to an exclusive collaboration, John Hancock Insurance teamed up for a partnership with Vitality, the global leader in incorporating wellness benefits with life insurance products.
Taking a very necessary moment to escape from the day's hustle and bustle, one of the most recognized landmark transportation hubs in the the Big Apple treated visitors to an enlightening #5MoreNow experience in the Vitality Village. With free healthy juicing demonstration from Registered Dietician Nutritionist Keri Glassman, complimentary green juice, LA Gear Boot camp, relaxing massages, interactive and informative health kiosks, games, prizes and coffee talk with John Hancock financial advisors offering a courtesy financial wellness session, I gained a greater understanding of the essential connection between #5MoreNow for my own physical wellness and financial wellness.
Offering competitive, new life insurance solutions to policyholders with top-notch financial management, John Hancock offers opportunities to reduce the amount of their annual premiums, in addition to earning incentives and discounts for actively improving their physical wellness. As a parent and health enthusiast, Chris O'Donnell relates, "I know how hard it is to juggle everyday life and still fit in time to take care of my physical and financial health." I'm in complete agreement, sometimes managing our finances and fitness can present a real balancing act. The tendency to favor the importance of one over the other can have lasting effects on our family.
How do we as consumers benefit from this exciting, new #5MoreNow initiative? Once addressing the need for life insurance, new John Hancock policyholders take an online Vitality Health Review which evaluates personal and lifestyle information to determine their Vitality Age. Vitality research finds that, many Americans are actually ranging up to five years older than their actual age, determined by individual health and wellness life factors.
Inclusive in this pilot program, new policyholders will receive their personalized health goals and are able to routinely interactively update their fitness activities online. Keeping fit has a bonus benefit, John Hancock is giving each of their new policyholders a free Fitbit® to best monitor their progress toward #5MoreNow wellness.
With the launch, Michael Doughty, President, John Hancock Insurance says, “The latest advancements in wearable technology are encouraging people to take a more active role in their health, and it’s time we applied these innovations to create ‘smart life insurance’ and recognize and financially reward consumers for their positive actions. Most Americans know they need more life insurance, and our research shows that nearly all consumers feel they could be living a healthier life. Our new products enable them to achieve both of those goals with one simple, engaging solution.”
“We are reinventing the consumer life insurance experience and changing the way people think about this critical component of their overall financial health,” said Craig Bromley, President, John Hancock Financial. “We believe this offering will make life insurance relevant for new generations of consumers and reinvigorate the entire category.”
Valuable Vitality Points begin accumulating as soon as a new John Hancock life insurance policy is issued by completing health-related activities such as exercising, receiving routine health screenings or an annual flu shot. Also, depending on the type of life insurance product consumers purchase, policyholders are able to save as much as a 15 percent discount from their annual insurance premium rates.
Optimistic about this progressive venture, Alan Pollard, CEO, The Vitality Group states, “Vitality and John Hancock share a commitment to improving the lives of our customers and with more than 150 years of experience and a history of innovation, John Hancock is the perfect partner to help us bring this solution to the U.S.”Check out the John Hancock and Vitality #5MoreNow announcement:
