The Clangers, is a new series premiering on the Sprout Network, which features programs designed and created for a pre-school audience. Prepare for a cosmic, imaginative journey through space with The Clangers and none other than William Shatner of Star Trek acclaim, as the show's narrator. The Clangers are a close-knit, knitted family of little pink, mouse-like alien creatures living on a small blue planet in space. The lively antics of The Clangers are narrated by the very well-known voice of sci-fi icon, William Shatner as The Clangers communicate with one another musically through a series of high and low whistles.
My four year-old son and I eagerly watched the debut of The Clangers in anticipation of new faces and adventures to entertain and delight. The lack of verbal conversation between the little creatures was very interesting to observe, as my son focused intently on the amusing interactions of The Clangers and the gentle, guiding narrative from William Shatner. Delivering a message of working together as a team and learning problem-solving abilities is an essential life skill that we are addressing in our home with our son, very similar to other families of little learners.

Appealing to the curious, imaginative side of preschoolers, The Clangers, already popular on BBC in the UK, is a lovingly, created show that encourages kids to foster their imaginations to find solutions with the help of their family and friends. William Shatner will narrate Trekkies and their Sproutlets along as they find a new adventure, new solutions and new ideas with each episode of The Clangers.
