Life, Love, and Lola the Therapy Dog Book Series

Raising our kids to be readers is such an essential part of their educational development. Offering quality reading material inclusive of a combination of fiction and non-fiction books is an equally important factor. In our Homeschool Happenings, my 5-year-old son and I recently explored the charming new book series from Lola- The Therapy Dog. We have read all of the books in the easy reading series and are looking forward to the upcoming book's release about life, love, and Lola the Therapy Dog.

Life, Love, and Lola the Therapy Dog

Precocious little Lola is a real dog working together with her owner and series author, Marcia Goldman, they spend much of their time helping kids (Lola loves autistic kids and helps them so much) and seniors feel better and enjoy personal, rehabilitative time together. The stories shared in the book series  and fun activities showcase precious moments of a day in the life of Lola, an irresistibly lovable little terrier who worked hard against all odds and became a certified therapy dog for children and seniors.

Lola Goes to Work

Meet Lola, a little terrier with a big job. Children will identify with the feisty Lola as she struggles going to school, passing tests, and finally achieving her Big Dog dream. If Lola can make it in a world of Great Danes and Labradors, so can anybody who's feeling like a runt. The book shows children how through hard work and determination, anyone can achieve their goals.

Lola Goes to the Doctor

Lola is nervous about going to the doctor but discovers she's a bigger dog than she thought.
Lola & Tattletale Zeke

Tattling is a huge issue, especially in kindergarten/1st grade and there are no picture books dealing with the subject. Lola and Tattletale Zeke offers a jumping-off point for classroom and family discussions.
