As a "Mommy Detective" I have learned to pick up on the subtle clues to let me know how my kids are feeling. It's a talent that I have developed over time. Teaching kids to be able to effectively communicate their feelings to others is a social skill that is also developed over time. My five year-old has shown tremendous emotional growth and development since our introduction to the detective skills of the the five friendly detectives- The Moodsters.
Teaching Kids to Show & Tell about Their Emotions
with The Moodsters
Very often parents of little ones (and not-so-little ones) often need a little help when initiating a conversation about personal feelings experienced as a reflection of situations and events happening in their worlds. Our kids are learning to enjoy socializing with friends, problem-solving, social skills and essential life skills and need plenty of positive support and encouragement along the way.
Who are The Moodsters? Imagine five cuddly and clever little detectives that help kids to solve the mysteries of their feelings and how to handle those feelings. The Moodsters are- Happy Yellow- Coz, Loving Pink- Lolly, Sad Blue- Snorf, Angry Red- Razzy and Afraid Green- Quigly, that will come to the rescue to help their friends, Zach and his sister, Zoey, understand feelings. Award-winning child development and parenting expert Denise Daniels, Founder of Jelly Jam Entertainment, has partnered with Kids Preferred to launch The Moodsters, a new line of toys and books designed to teach young children the fundamentals of feelings.
