Even on those rainy days when we find ourselves standing in the middle of dark, muddy puddles, we are still able to look around us to find beauty in our lives. Life has poured down flooding rainstorms to overshadow the light in my world countless times, however, I've also been amazed to be flooded in the brilliance of blessings. It's these blossoms of beauty of promise that inspire me to weather the storms we encounter from time to time. Recently, I've had the privilege to view an advanced screening of LIFEMARK, a movie inspired by the true story of families being able to overcome obstacles through the power of grace and goodness. Experience hope in the heart of adoption in LIFEMARK.

Experience Hope in the Heart of Adoption in LIFEMARK
"David’s comfortable world is turned upside down when his birthmother unexpectedly reaches out to him, longing to meet the 18-year-old son she’s only held once. With the encouragement of his adoptive parents, David embarks on a
journey of discovery that leads to a staggering truth from his past. From executive producers Kirk Cameron and the Kendrick Brothers—creators of War Room and Fireproof—comes LIFEMARK, inspired by an incredible true story that celebrates the gift of life."
Families are complex. Essential to the foundation of our families are the values we create designed to help us to learn, grow and navigate challenges together. Defining family values will become part of an evolving process, adapting our choices in pursuit of a common goal. Our family values can be updated in an effort to meet changing needs.
In the movie LIFEMARK, David lives a fulfilling life with his adoptive parents, Jimmy and Susan, when he is unexpectedly contacted for the first time in his life by his birth mother. Supported by his adoptive parents, 18 year-old David makes the lifechanging decision to uncover unanswered questions revealing transformational answers from his past.
Look for the inspirational book, LIFEMARK, a novelization of the movie, providing greater insight into the true story of David's family and their adoption story.
The short documentary, I Lived On Parker Avenue can be watched for free online. Meet the real David, Jimmy, Susan, and Melissa and see how the reunion happened in real life.
Editorial Note
"LIFEMARK recently received a PG-13 rating from the Motion Picture Association for “Thematic Elements.” Because the true story that inspired LIFEMARK revolves around the decision a woman makes while in an abortion clinic, the movie shares her experience. Nothing shown or discussed is graphic. As with any movie, we would suggest parents watch the movie for themselves to decide what’s best for their family."
