See The Blind | The True Story of The Robertson Family

Based on a true story is almost always one of the main reasons I am attracted to deep dive into a movie or show. There is an added bonus when the true story is actually based  upon the inspirational backstory of one of pop culture's iconic reality TV series. We had the privilege of viewing an advanced screening of The Blind, a powerful movie offering insight into the lives of
Phil and Miss Kay Robertson of Duck Dynasty and duck call fame. Taking a lead from the movie's title, once blind to the consequences for his choices, Phil Robertson rose to acclaim in the blinds used for duck hunting. There's a rich and rewarding message to be shared as you have the opportunity to see The Blind, The True Story of The Robertson Family.

See The Blind | The True Story of The Robertson Family

"Long before Phil Robertson was a reality TV star, he fell in love, started a family, and began to spiral out of control. The Blind shares never-before-revealed moments in Phil’s life as he seeks to conquer the shame of his past, ultimately finding redemption in an unlikely place."

Phil Robertson, the famed duck hunter, grew up in the swamplands of Louisiana. Earlier in life he struggled with the downfalls of alcohol addiction and a violent past. Meeting Miss Kay, falling in love, and starting a family became the path to a new life, however, his past continued to jeopardize his future.

During those tumultuous times, Phil managed to regain sight of his perspective in life. In a true example of both redemption and transformation, he redirected his life fueled by a powerful change of spirit. Together with Miss Kay, they work to build a duck hunting business while raising their family to become the Duck Dynasty legacy.
