Simple One-Bowl Mocha Cake Recipe

Temptingly flavorful, mocha is a delicious blend of strong espresso coffee with delicious, rich chocolate. One of my personal favorites, mocha combines the bitterness of coffee with the sweetness of chocolate syrup or cocoa powder in beverages, frozen treats, and baked desserts. One-Bowl Mocha Cake Recipe


Ingredients

1½ Cups Sifted Brown Sugar
1 Cup Sifted Flour
6 Tbsp. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
½ Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Tsp. Salt
2 Eggs
1 Tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
½ Cup Brewed Coffee
1 Stick (4 oz.) Unsalted Butter, Melted
½ Cup Mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Optional
Confectioners' Sugar
Whipped Cream

Instructions

1- Preheat oven to 350°and grease 8-inch square baking pan, line with parchment paper. 

2- Whisk brown sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. 

3- Press a well into the center of the mixture.

4- Whisk eggs and vanilla into the well to blend together. 

5- Gradually whisk coffee and butter into dry ingredients. 

6- Stir in chocolate chips; pour batter into lined pan. 

7- Bake for about 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. 

8- Set to cool. Serve with confectioners' sugar and whipped cream, as preferred. Enjoy!
