The Power of Three

Let's take a moment to think about the many ways in which we use the power of three to strengthen perspectives. There is a common saying that states, "a threefold cord is not easily broken." Considering ways in which triangles, tripods, the Holy Trinity, and even three-strand braiding demonstrate how we view the number
three to establish balance and symmetry in life. Building a connection between three separate entities bonding together as one to become a more sustainable support system, often serving as the foundation of greater accomplishments. We were privileged to team up with two other influential partners- Amazon Freevee and Momentum Influencers, for an advanced screening of the upcoming movie, God. Family. Football. Showcasing talents extending beyond the football field, NFL Quarterback, Russell Wilson stands as an executive producer in this real-life coming-of-age docuseries following former pro-football player, and legendary high school football coach, Pastor Denny Duron, as he comes out of a 30-year retirement from head coaching to lead the football program he founded at Evangel Christian Academy back to national acclaim. Both on and off the field, team challenges and victories are met with Coach Duron’s formula for success in the power of three- “God first, family second, and football third.” The power of three.

The Power of Three

"God. Family. Football. follows ex-football player and high school football coach Denny Duron as he returns to once again coach the Louisiana-based team that he once led. Duron has been retired for 30 years, but decides to return to Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, La., after the one-time high school football powerhouse fell on rough times. Once home to 14 state championships in the last 20 years, the team is now coming off its worst season in school history. The series focuses on the 2022 high school football season as Evangel Christian Academy — which has sent more football players to the NFL and NCAA Division 1 college football programs than any other high school in the state — looks to rebuild."

In timelines we are able to pinpoint the beginning, middle, and the ending. In three powerhouse words we are able to also create a timeline—God. Family. Football. These three cornerstones are the foundation for this coming-of-age docuseries following former pro-football player, legendary high school football coach, and pastor Denny Duron. Sharing authentic, behind-the-scenes highs and lows, witness the journey as he comes out of his 30-year retirement from head coaching to lead the football program he founded at Evangel Christian Academy along the path back to national acclaim.

With the outstanding stats of claiming 14 state championships in the last 20 years—coming off their worst season in school history, redemption drives the team to peak performance.  As a casual football fan, I watched more from the perspective of curiosity than fandom. Keeping my interest from the opening scene until the captivating conclusion, I eagerly watched each episode fascinated by the team's unity and commitment to the game.

Pastor Denny Duron demonstrates his unique ability to lead this talented team of high school football players toward their dreams of playing in college and the NFL, while also modeling effective leadership. Adding an additional level of field experience, NFL quarterback Russell Wilson teams up as an executive producer for God. Family. Football.
